Potential users should be forewarned, Skype (parent company eBay) imports your Address Book contacts upon the initial launch of this version without asking users permission to do so. There are preference options for turning this behavior off, but apparently the preference for importing is shipped turned on by default, which defeats the purpose of giving users a choice. Even more annoying, once your Address Book contacts are imported, there is apparently no way to delete (or edit) them. It is unclear if Skype is also uploading the user's Address Book data to their servers in the process. If Skype is doing that, such slickery data acquisition methods should be both illegal, and grounds for an immediate boycott of the company. Can anyone else elaborate further on what they have experienced with this version? Skype has been increasingly viral since it was purchase by eBay; this version may be the step that pushes it beyond the brink into the realm of malware. Until more is known, users should approach this version cautiously."
